The first award of 2020 goes to the Cornstore

The first Limerick City Towns monthly award for 2020 has gone to Cornstore Limerick at 19 Thomas Street, for their newly revamped frontage and exterior seating area. Pictured outside the restaurant being presented with the award by Maura are Colm Shearman and Chris O’Meara.

The Cornstore has long been highly thought of in Limerick, both for the quality of its food and beautiful appearance and ambiance of the restaurant, and the recent revamping of their exterior seating area at the front of the premises, including a striking new weather-proof canopy and outside planting, enhances this reputation further, making it a very worthy recipient of our first monthly award of 2020. It is a huge asset to Thomas Street and to the city centre in general, and we are delighted to acknowledge this.

Cornstore Limerick is part of the Cornstore group of restaurants located in Cork and Limerick and after nearly 10 years in business, they have become known for their casual, warm and lively dining experience, specialising in great steaks and quality locally sourced seafood and offering a unique wine and award winning cocktail bar. The Thomas Street restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and is an ideal venue whether dining with friends, family or work colleagues. To book, please call 061 609000 or visit their website www.cornstore.ie/limerick.

As Limerick City Tidy Towns monthly winner for January, The Cornstore is our first winner for 2020 and will be in with the chance of winning this year’s overall prize at our annual event to be held early in 2021. An online poll to choose our overall winner for 2019 is currently open until the end of January and all 2019 monthly winners will shortly be invited to our 2020 event where the winner will be announced and prize awarded.
