Sept-Oct Bi-Monthly Winner – The French Table

Our fifth bi-monthly award for Sept-Oct 2023 has gone to The French Table Restaurant at No 1 Steamboat Quay. Pictured outside the restaurant receiving the award from Maura is Deirdre Fialon (Photo: Adrian Butler/Limerick Leader)

While we try to vary the type of business we present awards to so it’s not mainly hospitality, we simply couldn’t overlook the French Table with its beautiful outdoor floral arrangements, spotless paintwork and windows and new exterior street-lamps, particularly combined with the recent improvements to Steamboat Quay by the Council. It’s always great to see high quality businesses with a riverside location grow and thrive, as the French Table has done since it first opened in June 2008.

Offering high quality dining overlooking the Shannon in the heart of Limerick city, The French Table is owned by Strasbourg-born Chef Thomas, with Deirdre from Co Limerick running front of house. In the years since opening, the French Table has gone from strength to strength, quickly becoming recognised as one of Limerick’s best restaurants by diners and critics alike, and renowned for its authentic French cuisine. They use the very best locally sourced and seasonal ingredients and deliver a truly French dining experience, in a warm and inviting atmosphere. For more information on their menus or to book at table, visit www.frenchtable.ie or call them on 061 609274.

The French Table is our fifth winner of 2023, since we switched to bi-monthly awards this year, and will be in with a chance to be Overall Winner for 2023 at next year’s annual event, along with the January-February winner Dolans, March-April winner Rift Café, May-June winner The Flower Studio and July-August winner O’Mahonys Booksellers.
