Upcycle and Recycle for Christmas

The Limerick Tidy Towns Committee wishes all of our volunteers, followers and supporters all the very best for Christmas and the coming year.  We hope you have a peaceful joyful time with your loved ones, and where possible encourage you all to keep in mind the ethos of upcycling for handmade gifts and re-used decorations pre-Christmas, and recycling packaging and of course your Christmas tree, after the big day.

As we all know, Christmas can be a time of indulgence and consumerism gone mad, and sometimes thoughtful hand-made gifts made with love, are more special than mass-produced items.

Any of the three recycling centres in Mungret, Kilmallock or Newcastle West during the month of January 2016 (Standard charges apply). Visit Limerick Recycling Centres for more information.

New Year’s Resolutions

As for New Year’s Resolutions, well why not register to be a volunteer with our team?  We do twice-weekly clean-ups, and even if you could only commit to one hour a month, it would make a huge difference to our 2017 campaign.
