The Limerick City Tidy Towns monthly award for June 2019 has been presented to Thai Angel Massage for their lovely basement at 29 Thomas Street. Pictured at the property being presented with the award by Maura is owner Mayuree Walshe (Photo: Conor Owens/ILoveLimerick).
Given the disappointing result of the recent IBAL report and their specific criticism of basement littering in the city, we were keen to choose a basement as our June monthly winner to show just what potential these often neglected and overlooked properties offer as both business and residential opportunities when renovated and maintained. This one stood out to us as it is not just spotlessly clean, but the flowers and plants add a vibrancy and colour which really brighten up the property. We can only hope that other basement owners and occupiers take note and try to ensure that their basements are also presented to their full potential, or at least kept clean and free from litter, particularly those that we cannot access to clean ourselves.
Thai Angel Massage opened in December 2009 and offer an extensive massage service, providing ache, pain and tension relief on the muscles and also soft tissue massage for relaxation. Their fully qualified and experienced staff offer many different types of massages, both to manage stress relief from the daily grind and also to reduce pain and muscle spasm following injury. Bookings can be made via their Facebook page or by calling 061 405930.
Thai Angel Massage is our sixth monthly winner for 2019, following Mint Boutique in January, Bakehouse 22 in February, Midwest Lighting in March, The Glen Tavern in April and Alexandra Dental Clinic in May, and all monthly winners will be in with the chance of winning this year’s overall prize at their annual event to be held early in 2020.
